RFQ checklist for stone · structural · heavy

This page is a working enquiry sheet for stone cladding, structural steel, and heavy baseplate jobs — not a company brochure. Name the install condition first; match a product family second. Fill what you know; leave blanks rather than guessing grades or certificates. No list prices and no invented MOQ — quantity is a band for discussion, not a published minimum.

Define · what this sheet is for

Use this page beside the Enquire / RFQ form when you need a first reply that matches the job, not a catalogue SKU. Dashitou works overseas B2B from the install node outward: substrate, load case, and the one detail that rules the part. A complete first email shortens the confirm-before-quote loop — we can point to a family, ask the right follow-up on finish or packing, and say when a sample or drawing review is the next useful step.

Attach drawings after the mailto draft opens (see drawing handoff). If the install node is still vague, spend a few minutes on the load-path primer before you fill field 02. Related entry points: home RFQ workbench and Applications.

Discuss · three enquiry lanes

Pick the lane that matches the controlling node. One job may touch more than one lane; say so in plain language rather than forcing a single SKU name.

Stone cladding — panel → backup

Name the panel material, thickness band if known, and the backup (concrete, steel frame, or rainscreen subframe). State the install node as panel→backup: undercut / edge bracket / soffit fixing / skin→rail. Wind + dead load language is enough for a first pass; leave strength class blank if the print does not fix it. Cross-check load-path primer and Applications · stone cladding.

Structural steel — gusset / beam

Name the connection in buyer words: beam splice, gusset plate, bracing node, or connection plate. Prefer load language (shear / tension / combined at the joint) over a shelf bolt name. Diameter, length, class, and coating belong on the controlling revision — if you do not have them yet, say “per drawing” and attach the print. See Applications · steel structure.

Heavy baseplate — plant / vibration

Name the equipment or frame, the baseplate→slab or baseplate→foundation path, and any plant vibration or dynamic note the site engineer already uses. Embedment, diameter, and washer / nut set follow the print; do not invent numbers on this page. See Applications · heavy industrial.

Selection notes before you quote fields

Before you lock family language in the RFQ body, check four points. If any item is unclear, leave the field blank — blanks are easier to clarify than invented grades.

  • Substrate — stone panel, concrete, structural steel, rainscreen subframe, equipment baseplate, or other (say which).
  • Load path — one install-node line (panel→backup, beam/gusset, baseplate→slab, skin→rail). Use the load-path primer if you need the naming fields.
  • Surface / finish — only what the print or project note already states. Do not invent coating systems or “equivalent” claims here.
  • Drawing revision — file name + revision letter/number on the controlling sheet. Mark which detail rules the part. Handoff steps: drawing handoff.

Agree · What to send · expanded job sheet

Treat 01–05 as one enquiry desk, not five separate forms. Incomplete fields are fine; invented certificates or list prices are not useful and are not requested here.

01–05 checklist fields

Print / copy · no prices
  1. Company / Country Legal or trading name, buyer contact, and country (or destination market if different from the buying office).
    • Company name as it should appear on the thread
    • Buyer / engineer contact name and email
    • Country of enquiry office
    • Destination country or port region if already known
  2. Load / scenario Name the job condition in plain language — not a shelf SKU. Cross-check load-path primer and Applications. Prefer the lane you chose above (stone / structural / heavy).
    • Substrate: stone panel, concrete, structural steel, rainscreen subframe, equipment baseplate, other
    • Load case in buyer words: wind + dead, shear/tension at plate, plant vibration note, etc.
    • Install node one-liner (panel→backup, beam/gusset, baseplate→slab, skin→rail)
    • Atmosphere note if relevant (coastal, industrial, interior dry)
  3. Specs or drawing Either a dimensioned print / CAD / clear sketch, or field notes that let us open a review. Mark the controlling revision on the file name. Sequence after mailto: drawing handoff.
    • Diameter / length / embedment or equivalent fields you already hold
    • Material or finish preference if known (leave blank if not — we do not invent grades online)
    • Drawing or CAD file name + revision letter/number
    • Controlling node callout on the sheet (which detail rules the part)
  4. Qty band Choose a discussion band on the form (exploring / samples / small project / medium wholesale / container-scale / custom). Do not invent a site MOQ; packing and sample policy follow the thread.
    • Band selected on the RFQ form
    • Whether samples or trial lot are needed first
    • Mixed assortment vs single family if known
    • Target delivery window in relative terms (not a promise until confirmed)
  5. Target use / standard Project type and any buyer-side standard or drawing note that governs acceptance. We do not publish a fake cert wall; applicable documents are shared privately when relevant to the RFQ.
    • Target use: stone façade, structural frame, heavy plant, rainscreen, chemical-anchor job, OEM program
    • Buyer standard or project specification reference if it exists
    • Private-label / packing / marking needs
    • Documents you expect to discuss (datasheet, packing list format) — asked in enquiry, not claimed on this page

How to use this sheet

Work top-down: Define the condition → Discuss the lane → check Selection notes → Agree the 01–05 fields → open the form. If the install node is unclear, spend five minutes on the load-path primer before filling 02. If you already have a drawing, open the mailto form with company and scenario filled, then attach the file in the email reply using the drawing handoff subject pattern.
